Barack Obama's 'lost' brother found in Kenya
"The Italian edition of Vanity Fair said that it had found George Hussein Onyango Obama living in a hut in a ramshackle town of Huruma on the outskirts of Nairobi.....
"No-one knows who I am," he told the magazine, before claiming: "I live here on less than a dollar a month."

Canadian MP: Mahmoud Abbas Purveys Anti-Jewish Incitement
Wow, has the Canadian government made an about turn on the Middle East in the last couple of years. Here's an example: "Canadian Member of Parliament Irwin Cotler, a Liberal party representative, has stated that the Palestinian Authority, including its Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas, is guilty of purveying hatred of Jews......
"People don't realize that Abbas signed a law, ... providing monthly stipends for the families of suicide bombers...
"According to the Canadian MP, 'Abbas has never recognized Israel's legitimacy as a Jewish state.'....
"The PA leader's anti-Israel statements and the hatred promoted by his official outlets, Cotler charged, has been judiciously ignored by the West."
there's more to the story, but I won't give it all away. Instead read it here.

Living WithIn a Star's Atmosphere
"August 19, 2008: What if you woke up one morning and found your whole planet had been swallowed by the atmosphere of a star?"
Doesn't sound probable so far as our planet Earth is concerned: right?
NASA says: WRONG!
Read about the very strong probability for us on this planet here.
Huckabee: 'There is Only One Place for a Jewish Homeland'
Whether Republican or Democrat, one has to be impressed with the clear talk that Huckabee is bringing to the debate in regards to the Jewish Homeland. Yes, let there be a "Palestinian State", but "in Saudi Arabia": WOW!

This is a must see video for anyone who wants an upgrade to their personal knowledge base concerning the American Slave Trade with all that that involved. I think it safe to say that most of us, both Black and White, are completely unaware of certain crucial facts that this video brings out here.

Congress examines EMP Threat
From WorldNetDaily
Posted: July 07, 2008
10:42 pm Eastern
"WASHINGTON – More than four years after a stunning report about America's vulnerability to a nuclear electromagnetic pulse attack was released to Congress, the House Armed Services Committee will hear testimony from the scientist who issued the warning and who believes Iran is pursuing such an option.
"American society has grown so dependent on computer and other electrical systems that we have created our own Achilles' heel of vulnerability, ironically much greater than those of other, less developed nations,"
"EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) is one of a small number of threats that can hold our society at risk of catastrophic consequences," ..... "EMP will cover the wide geographic region within line of sight to the nuclear weapon. It has the capability to produce significant damage to critical infrastructures and thus to the very fabric of U.S. society, as well as to the ability of the United States and Western nations to project influence and military power."....
"If electrical power is knocked out and circuit boards fried, telecommunications are disrupted, energy deliveries are impeded, the financial system breaks down, food, water and gasoline become scarce...
Today few Americans can conceive of the possibility that terrorists could bring our society to its knees by destroying everything we rely on that runs on electricity. But this time we've been warned, and we'd better be prepared to respond."
The whole story is here.

The Man Whose "Burnished, Burgundy-Colored Voice... Soars."
"At 48, Thomas Quasthoff is already a legend. He's a superstar in the classical world -- "filled Carnegie and probably could have done so twice....His mom was prescribed thalidomide while pregnant with him, and as a result, he's only about four feet tall. But oh, what a voice."
Listen to this voice in both Operatic and Jazz form: amazing. Go here.
Random House’s Fear of Muslim Violence Trumps Free Speech
"Random House wimped out and chose to go back on its agreement with an author because of the warnings of some academics. Better to protect their own hides than to promote free and open discourse.....
"Denise Spellberg, an associate professor of Islamic history at the University of Texas in Austin....."was upset,” when she read this novel after Random House sent it to her as a pre-publication heads up. “In an interview, Ms. Spellberg"..said "the novel is a 'very ugly, stupid piece of work.' She was upset,” and told the interviewer that the novel 'made fun of Muslims and their history,' and asked him to warn Muslims."
As a result, Random House pulled the book from publication and broke the contract with the author. The book, "The Jewel of Medina by Sherry Jones, a fiction novel about A’isha, Muhammad’s youngest bride" is now pending new publication.
Such intimidation of a major publishing house and its acquiescence is not a good omen for the free press and for the publication of free ideas within our near future. Read the blog that details the story here.

Gaza Anomalies Blow PCP’s Circuits: Result - The Sounds of Silence
"PCP" = Politically Correct Paradigm vis-a-vis the Middle East
"A few friends of mine went to a party in Jerusalem that was primarily made up Anglophone reporters, people who work for NGOs and UN agencies. What amazed them was the pervasive sense of the people they met and spoke with that Israel was the greatest human rights violator in the world and that the dismantling of Israel would be a great step forward for global human rights.
"Now the idiocy of this position, .....is nothing short of breathtaking."
This is a brilliantly clear analysis of the PCP types and their utter nakedness in light of historical fact(s).

Reuters Releases Films of Terrorists Training in Gaza, CNN and BBC Don’t Air it
“CNN and BBC seem to have chosen to avoid showing this new Reuters footage, even though they regularly air the anti-Israel footage which Reuters has previously pumped out.”
Hmm! Does anyone out there remember how CNN fessed up, just after the U.S. invaded Iraq, to their (CNN's) news team's manipulation of the news out of Iraq? This was done in order not to offend Saddam Hussaein, but was a blatent manipulation of the news fed to the world in order to be able to keep their CNN office in Bagdad open. Exactly how is the news being manipulated here, and for what purpose?
See the video here.

The Miqdash - Not Yet Time?
"'Is it time for you, yourselves, to dwell in your well-timbered houses, whilst this House lies desolate?' (Haggai 1:2-11).
This is an excellent discussion, written by Rav Bar-Hayim, head of the Beth HaWaadh beit din (religious court) of Machon Shilo, Jerusalem, of the complex historical realities that have brought Israel to its present geo-political, pathetic situation. Read it here.

Good Terrorists Need Not Live - Yes or No?
"Here lies the nightmare of primitive rationalism:......people don’t compromise over their basic religious and national rights, not if they want to remain a self-respecting religious community or a nation. Those Jews who are looking to compromise do so because they don’t believe they have any rights.....
"Palestinian Arabs, on the contrary, believe in their rights."
This is a short, simple, yet well thought out case presenting the weakness of the Israeli Left. Read it here.

Sayings of the Jewish Buddhist
There seem to be several Jewish Blogs
that have this post, but since this is
my blog, I'm joining the circle poetic
admirers.
Sayings of the Jewish Buddhist
If there is no self,
whose arthritis is this?
Be here now.
Be someplace else later.
Is that so complicated?
Drink tea and nourish life;
with the first sip, joy;
with the second sip, satisfaction;
with the third sip, peace;
with the fourth, a Danish.
Wherever you go, there you are.
Your luggage is another story.
Accept misfortune as a blessing.
Do not wish for perfect health,
or a life without problems.
What would you talk about?
The journey of a thousand miles
begins with a single Oy.
There is no escaping karma.
In a previous life,
you never called,
you never wrote,
you never visited.
And whose fault was that?
Zen is not easy.
It takes effort
to attain nothingness.
And then what do you have?
Bupkis.
The Tao does not speak.
The Tao does not blame.
The Tao does not take sides.
The Tao has no expectations.
The Tao demands nothing of others.
The Tao is not Jewish.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Forget this
and attaining Enlightenment
will be the least of your problems.
Let your mind be as a floating cloud.
Let your stillness be as a wooded glen.
And sit up straight.
You’ll never meet the Buddha
with such rounded shoulders.
Deep inside you are ten thousand flowers.
Each flower blossoms ten thousand times.
Each blossom has ten thousand petals.
You might want to see a specialist.
Be aware of your body.
Be aware of your perceptions.
Keep in mind that not every physical sensation
is a symptom of a terminal illness.
The Torah says,
Love your neighbor as yourself.
The Buddha says,
There is no self.
So, maybe we’re off the hook.

American People, & Gov't – Both Are Infidels and At War with Islam
"Islam Does Not Distinguish Between the American People and the American Government" so said Abu Al-Yazid, who "worked for Osama bin Laden in Sudan as an accountant, and later became director of Al-Qaeda's financial affairs. He has also been a member of Al-Qaeda's Shura Council, in charge of financial planning, organizational affairs, and public relations."

Tyson replaces Labor Day with Muslim Eid al-Fitr
A Labor Day parade from the early 1900s
What?
On WorldNetDaily I found this article that starts off stating that "Food workers at the Shelbyville, Tenn., plant for Tyson Foods, which boasts on its corporate website that it strives "to honor God," will have time off for Eid al-Fitr, the Muslim holiday closing the month of Ramadan, instead of the American tradition Labor Day."
Take note: out of a 1,200 work force at the plant, Muslims represent 700 in number. This should have been expected since it appears that whenever Muslim numbers reach 40% and over, they feel quite comfortable in making Islamic demands.

Exploding an Israeli Myth
Well, there goes that deeply entrenched "we're better than they are" notion that Israeli's have in the past held up to the world. Now, we're just the mirror image of each other: thanks to the secular, leftist Israeli leadership, we've come off the "moral high ground".
See it here.
Israeli-Arab Med. Student Indicted for Hizbullah Contact
"President Shimon Peres said last week that "educated" Arabs generally do not present a terrorist threat to Israel."
What does one say, or how does one respond to such a statement? Apparently, only by keeping informed can one even begin to challenge such an icon of a man (for some). Remember the graduate and undergraduate students of 9/11 infamy? Now read this article concerning more EDUCATED Arab university students here.

Anti-Arab is not pro-German
"It is misleading to talk about throwing the Arabs out of Israel. That is a means, not the end. The German policies against Jews were ugly in that they were the end in themselves."
