Hell Freezes Over

Acording to "Investor's Business Daily", "The mean global temperature, at least measured by satellite, is the same as it was in the year 1980. .....

Have any of you noticed that the media, and those that pushed the "Global Warming"
scare, no long refer to GW as GW? They apparently have read the facts as they roll in and have decided to cover their derrieres by changing the language. Now they refer to it as "Climate change". This term was borrowed from the late 1950 and early 1960s when fear that Atomic bomb testing over Arizona was "changing" the climate in the direction of a new Ice Age. Let this be food for thought.

Ford Assembly Plant In Brazil

This post came to me as an email from a friend. I rarely post emails, but in this case, since the topic is so very current, I'm breaking my own rule.

"One look at this and you will be able to tell why there will probably never be another assembly plant built in the USA . It will also point out why more assembly plants will go offshore.

"Do not be fooled into thinking that Ford, GM, and Chrysler are going to go under. They will survive , but their assembly operations in the US likely won't -- whether we provide a bailout or not.

"And keep in mind that a huge percentage of the cars sold in the USA are made in the USA today -- not just by Ford, GM, and Chrysler -- but by Toyota , Honda, and many of the rest. They are built by American workers and they are being profitable. Why, you must ask? Because they are non-union operations and do not have the UAW hanging around their necks like large ship anchors.

Geert Wilders in Jerusalem “The Jihad against Israel is the Jihad against the West.”

Andrew Bostom, posted this not long, but not short either, speech on his blog today, December 14, 2008. The speech was given by Geert Wilders, seen in the picture above, who was the creator of the short documentary concerning the Islamification of the EU (Europe) entitled "Fitna". Most of us will remember it since it had spread like wild fire this last summer after it had been banned and taken down from Google and YouTube: it's back on both sites now. The ban had been, as I remember, a knee jerk reaction to Jehadist personal threats on the personnel at the two sites as well as global mayhem.

It was the Aish.com and IsraelNationalNews.com (INN, aka Arutz 7) web sites that finally took up the gauntlet and posted the short documentary. It rocked the Internet around the world. Now, Geert Wilders gave a speech in Jerusalem at the invitation of MK, Dr.Arieh Eldad, now chairman of the Hatikvah party in Israel. This was a forum on the new effort by Hatkivah to counter the Israeli left in regard to the true danger that Islam represents to Israel: not an issue of land, but of ideology and demography.

The Case for Skepticism on Global Warming’

This issue may have already drooped dead in the water given the present world economic concerns and "bail outs", but on January 25, 2005, Michael Crichton - author of Jurassic Park et al - gave a major address to the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. regarding his criticisms of the so called "global warming" scenarios. If you need a bio on him, might I suggest, on line, this.

"He reviews why claims for catastrophic warming arouse doubt; why reduced CO2 is vastly more difficult than we are being told; and why we are morally unjustified to spend vast sums on this speculative issue when around the world people are dying of starvation and disease."

This is not a short read, but it's not a book either. If the issue is of interest to you from either the "right" or the "left", then it will provide you with a great deal of "food for the thought". (Spinach any one?).
